RAIN8II 8-zone X-10 Irrigation controller (2-WAY MODEL)

The Rain8 is a full featured, 8 zone irrigation controller that may be networked together to provide a maximum of 256 zones of operation. A must for automating lawn sprinkler systems. Using PC home automation software, such as HAL, you can even control your sprinkler over the internet

Each individual zone is controlled via an X10 address. The 2-way model differs from the basic Rain8 model in that a sequence can not be triggered by a single command in the 2-way model - the timers etc for each zone are programmed into your automation software, such as ActiveHome or HAL.
 

 

Other differences between the two-way and the one-way Rain8:

- There are no limitations on the number of zones that may be active at one time.

- Default run timers can be disabled if desired.

- Responds the X10 "All Units Off" command.

- Manual mode only, does not have the auto mode capability of the one-way Rain8.

How it Works

To configure the Rain8 you connect it to your computer (Windows or Mac) and run the configuration utility application. This allows you to define the X10 address zone assignments and set the operational mode.

 

The Rain8 requires an XM10 power line interface, as well as a power adaptor (not included). The Rain8 operates on 24 - 27 volt AC, 50 Hz).
