The 3-piece computer
kit is a simple X-10 starter kit designed to get you started with X-10
Home Automation. The kit contains an X-10 2-way programmable Computer
Interface, a plug-in Appliance Receiver module and a plug-in Lamp
Receiver module. The Computer Interface can also control any of our
other X-10/A-10 Receivers. How it works
With the X-10 programmable Computer Interface, you can program timed
schedules for your lights and appliances and create X-10 macros. A macro
involves a series of instructions being followed, such as: the stair
lights turning on after the lounge room lights are turned off, the
downstairs lights turning off 10 minutes later, the bedroom lights
dimming by 50% at the same time, and all lights switching off after a
further 30 minutes. The macros can be downloaded to the memory on the
Computer Interface so that your instructions are followed even when your
computer is turned off. Features - Sunset Sunrise feature enables you
to tell your computer where you live. It can then turn
your lights on or off in response to this setting, changing
throughout the year - The Lifestyle feature will record
what you do for a period of time and then replay it when you’re
away, thus giving your home a lived-in look
- With the Lamp Receiver Module and
Appliance Receiver Module (included in kit), you can start
automating your home immediately. Your system can be expanded by
adding more modules and switches as required
- The built–in memory guarantees
that scheduled events will resume automatically after a power
failure
Just plug the computer module into your
9-pin serial port, load the software, and watch your home come alive.
The computer unit can address all 256 X-10 codes so, you can control up
to 256 lights and appliances in your whole home. USB to serial adaptors
are available for computers without a serial port.
The Lamp Module enables you to switch and dim any incandescent lamp up
to 300W. The Appliance Module enables you to operate any appliance up to
10 Amps.
