| Brief Description:
The DIY 7 piece kit is a
great way to begin your X10 home automation system. Contains both computer
control and an X10 universal remote control, as well as X10 control of 5
devices. Detailed Description: Clean up your coffee table by
controlling all of your A/V equipment with one remote - including control of
your home's lights and devices with this convenient 7-piece kit. The 7-piece computer kit is a
powerful X10 starter kit which is a combination of our 3-piece computer kit
(CK15), 3-piece theatre kit (TK15) with the addition of a light socket module
(LM15). Designed to get you started with your X10 home control system, the CK17
starter kit can be easily expanded now or down the track to include inline
modules such as our LW12 in-wall dimmer or AW12 in-wall switch. What's included: 1 x CM12 Computer Interface
with USB interface
2 x LM12 Plug-In lamp modules
1 x AM12 Plug-In appliance module
1 x LM15 Light socket module
1 x EC8 8-in-1 remote control unit
1 x TM13 RF Interface unit Quick DIY installation and
simple to use, the CK17 7-piece starter kit features software that provides
on–screen representations of your home's devices - giving you control from your
PC. With geographic location settings, the computer module knows what time
sunrise and sunset, enabling it to control your lights and appliances according
to these times. The computer module included
in this kit is a programmable interface, meaning that you can program sequences
and moods (called macros). A macro involves a series of instructions, triggered
by a certain command. For example you could make a 'going to bed' sequence: the
stair lights turn on after the lounge room lights are turned off, the downstairs
lights then turn off 10 minutes later, the bedroom lights dim to 50% before all
lights switch off after a further 30 minutes. Macros can be stored in the memory
of the computer interface, so that timers and macros are followed even when your
computer is turned off. With the plug-in lamp
modules, plug-in appliance module and light socket module (all included within
this kit), you can start automating your home immediately. Your system can be
expanded by adding more home control receivers and transmitters as required. The
lamp module enables you to switch and dim any incandescent lamp up to 300W. The
appliance module enables you to operate any plug-in appliance up to 10 Amps
whilst the light socket module can handle standard incandescent light globes up
to 100W. The included ActiveHome
software has a lifestyle feature, which will monitor your home control system
for a period of time and then replay your routine when you’re away - adding
security to your home by giving your home a lived-in look. With built–in memory,
your computer module will not lose its scheduled timers and sequences during a
power failure. Technical Note: - Use with Mac will
require Mac compatible software such as
Indigo (not included) or similar.
- The USB connectivity
included is not compatible with Mac. For use with a Mac you will require our
KSUSB USB-Serial Adaptor sold separately
- This product includes
insulated pins and has been tested and approved to Australian/New Zealand
regulatory standards.
